11th Hour (2017)

West Wave Dance Festival: Community Music Center, San Francisco

11th Hour explores the idea of deconstructing the classical nocturne, performed to an improvisation-based score by Nathan Bickart. This collaborative work moves through Amelia and Nathan’s personal connotations to the nocturne, as they build upon intersecting themes and variations, ultimately relating to each other’s interpretations.

mud-match (2019)

West Wave Dance Festival: Joe Goode Annex, San Francisco

mud-match uses gesture and repetition as an abstraction of mentally negotiating a sticky place. The movement’s linear and direct approach serves as a metaphorical Rubik’s Cube, increasing in intensity, in search of a solution.

The finished work was performed to a commissioned electronic score by Steven Moreno.

Sister (2020)

NACHMO Winter Choreography Showcase: Mark Morris Dance Center, NYC

Sister presents ideas of ancestral female relationships, movement memory, and celebration as it asks the question: When you dance, who do you remember?
